     Aspects of downloading from Internet.

     In the XXI century, century of the Internet, people download many diferent things from World Wide Web and it goes without saying. You can download every thing, from maps, photos up to movies, programs. If anyone thought about aspects of downloading? In my opinion, there are 3 basic aspects:

• braking copyright
• downloading unwanted things
• risks of destroying hardware

Rys.1 Download

     Braking copyright is the most basic topic connected with downloading. Pearson, who make photo or film, develope some usefull programs has some rights to this item. There are copyrights. What it is? Wikipedia says that it is a legal concept, enacted by most governments, giving the creator of an original work exclusive rights to it, usually for a limited time.With copyright is connected next term - author's right which says about protection of moral rights.
     When someone is downloading from Internet some attachements, it can be connected with breakingthe law. If you don't pay for downloaded music, films - you brake the copyrights. It is illegal to download in such way, but many people still does it.

     Second aspect says about downloading unwanted things. It is connected with the previous aspect, because it is popular with downloading from diferent,unknown servers. For example you would like to download new songof your favourite band, but in the file you get, there is some film or junk software, called virus.

     Risk of destroying hardware is a consequence of both of following aspects. When you get a file with virus, you can lose all of your data which are stored on your hard disk. But this software can bring to destroy of hardware.Virus can change the way of processing data, what can cause braking the hard disk od burning the motherboard.

Information Privacy

     What is a privacy information?

     Information privacy, or data privacy is the relationship between collection and dissemination of data, technology, the public expectation of privacy, and the legal and political issues surrounding them.
It is everything connected with safety of data in a computer world. Any single data can be commentated and give some informations about pearson.

 This photo shows important thing about our personal data in Internet. We should avoid giving to public our personal data. We don't know how it can be used for. But how to do it, when everywhere you are asked to write your name, surname, adress, telephon number, e-mail adress and so on? It is not easy to register any account on social networks, internet games, forums.

     Is it a good way to give your real personal data? I don't think so. If you have some doubts watch this video and see what people can now about you.

     In this video there is mentioned one important thing this days. Facebook, actually. The Facebook's society is still growing and many people take it so serious. They upload many photos, videos, opinions which reflects on himself or herself. Good or bad reflect? It comes to estimation of f.e. your future employeer, who looks for some information about candidates to work. If you upload many photos from parties, discos, employeer can think that you are an animal party and you can be often late to work. Your personal photos as you thought before becomes a buisness information.

    I think, that my point of view couses thinking about this problem on your side. It's not straight connected with privacy information, but it can be interesting alternative to many technical aspects. If you don't want to be know for all of your private documents and photos - keep your informations in privat.
     To explore the topic of the privacy I encourage all of you to read this document, which will give all of us the new point of view. It's a bit long, but I think it is worthy to read it.

E-learning

Hello again.

     Yesterday I can't sleep and I was thinking about the idea of e-learning form of this project. In last 4-5 years the roleof e-learning is still incresing, and it becomes more and more popular.

      All forms of electronically supported learning and teaching? The information and communication systems, whether networked learning or not, serve as specific media to implement the learning process? Exaclly, that's the e-learning.

     E-learning uses advantages of new technologies, beginning from computers and Internet. What are the differneces between e-learning and traditional learning? Most of differences are advantages of it, that is in my opinion.

     At first, the biggest advantage of e-learning is time of learning. In this form of education, you can learn at the time you want. You don't have to sit for example from 8a.m. to 3p.m. You can log on in the middle of the night and than read and learn.

    The second advantage is a fact, that in home you can make the best conditions for yourself. If you prefer to learn in bed - no problem, if you learn well when the music is playing - no problem. Learning in this way make profit - you can turn back and read, watch, analyse something once more, and once more, and once more if you only need it. It could be different in class where sit 25 people.

     This movie says about e-learning. what do you think about it? Is it a good idea?

    



Next step for e-learning is easily to follow student's progress. Using e-learning platforms, like Moodle, you can do some tasks, quizes, and you will immediately get your score. Your teacher or manager can follow your progress, so it makes a preasure on you to do it your best.

     But e-learning there is no only advantages. One big disadvantage is lack of contact with teacher. You can't ask if you don't understand something. You should also remember, that practice is a key of success. In e-learning you get only theoretical aspects, there is not so many practical knowledge. Practical knowledge is amost important thing in normal life - it doesn't matter what you know it is matter what you can do.

     When you think about e-learning you should remember about this disadvantages, you should think how e-learning can help in learning, but it shouldn't be only one source of your knowledge.

Internet Safety

      Lately I was thinking about the interesting topic to show it out...

      In the time, when the role of the Internet still increases, when the society is identyfing with social networks, it is possible to buy everything on the second part of the world without leaving your home, the role of Internet security is basicly topic. 

Rys.1 Internet

     Everyone wants to be safe and secure in his normal life, but when you think about safe Internet, there is no difference. But there is a question, what do you do to be safe in the Internet? I can make a short list of a common helpfull tips.

    1. Always keep your computer system up to date. This includes installing operating system updates when they come out and regular checks for software updates to see if an update is available. The new version of the software has better security system, which should protect your computer and data from hacking. Installing a good antyvirus program and firewall will help with it too.

    2. Don't trust anybody writing to you, you don't now in real life.

  3. Backup important data. Backups are important because they ensure that data is safe even if it gets deleted. This can be because of a virus attack, accidental deletions, on purpose deletions, hardware failures or even PC theft.

    4. Do not enter personal data unless necessary. Companies and criminals want to know more about you. The first to deliver targeted advertising, the latter to exploit those information. If you fill out every survey on the Internet, post personal information in blogs or social networks then you will get spammed and attacked eventually. Our personal data can be a good way to earn money for people who will get it.

    5.  Change your password once every set period of time. Make sure to write down your password every time you change it. If you think someone might know your password to something, change it immediately. Changing your password constantly makes it difficult for people to hack into your accounts.

     This Youtube film gives a lesson to young users of the World Wide Web, but many of us could get some knowledge from this story.

     The following rules are only a basicly rules. There is much more to do in the area of safety in front of the screen. You should explore your knowledge about security in the Internet by reading special books or articles.
     There is a homework for you. Think a bit about your Internet security. Maybe you can do something better to protect yourself from strangers? Think a bit.
